Default Aquarama 2003!! (lots of pictures)

yeah... got a complementary ticket to visit the show
the crowd was terrible but i still manage to squeeze off a few shots

Question.....how can you tell the difference between a neon tetra and a cardinal?

neon tetra has this red line from the tail to the stomach area only (halfway)

the cardinal tetra's red line runs the whole stretch of the body

if i am not wrong, cardinal tetra can grow bigger or they are generally bigger size than neon ones and abit more ex

Nice shots of the aquarama! You should post your pics at http://www.aquaticquotient.com/ They recently started a fish photography forum there. Bet the fish enthusiast like me will drool on your shots!

Hi Magixshoe

Nice shots you got there. Question...how do you avoid flash reflection off the glass walls of the fish tanks? Thanks.

the easiest way is not to use flash lor
all the shots taken above are without flash.
but with proper positioning, can use flash w/o getting the reflections also

Thanks for your reply...what shutter speed + aperture combinations did you use? Did you use a tripod?

My father-in-laws is expecting me to take some photos of his goldfish this weekend.

i am using P mode and AV mode, ISO 800

exposure settings can be seen at my gallery

no tripod used
