Card not initialied!!!1

Waaaaah......my 256mb Xd card is not working. The message "card not initialized" kept on popping up. Anyone know a way to remedy this? My card is less than 1 month old and I also never take in great amount.

Or does anyone know how I go about replacing my xd card.

Have you tried initializing the chip from the Camera Setup Menu?
I know my S5000 have that.
Or erase the chip from the "viewing" Menu.

You should try taking out the XD chip and get a clen dry cloth to wipe "lightly" any dirt on the "golden" contacts and try the above again.

Whew.....thanks for the tip. Didn't know I can format the card like that. Looks like I still got much to learn. Back in business now.
