basically , I want to get a feel of how much "movement of clouds" for a particular shutter speed. seems like 2 mins is about the best option. faster than that, the clouds are not seen moving fast, slower than that, most details are lost.

And I can tell you that, the longer exposure you do, the more RED flare is present in the image... I guess, I have to try with some kind of customized shade to overcome the side lighting.

if i'm not wrong its due to the long exposure time and heat is starting to affect ur sensor..
try doing a 180 degree rotation on camera and shoot..the red thinggy should affects the same side of the sensor..

something went wrong with the shot experiment, I see RED flare on the TOP left and BOTTOM left ... where is the RED flare coming from ? what should be the setting like ?

any guru can advice some pointers ?
    WAO LAO...

from the photo can already see the sensor liao... (pic inside the round side, sensor is red. refer to top left corner) still wan to test us, asking for guru huh... u are already the guru for landscape...

of coz the longer the exposure, the corner of the sensor will take in more exposed sensor emittance and resulted in this "phenomen.."

this is a typical effect created by tilt lens. It makes the subjects looks like miniature toys.

There are actually 2 directions that you can tilt the lens. one way is to reduce the DOF ( like the picture that I took ).

If you tilt the other direction, you actually increases the DOF, this is good for shooting macros, you can actually use bigger aperture settings ( for blur background ) and still have a sharp subject with a relatively good DOF. I will have to use more of the adapter liao...

lensbaby is a lens, not an adapter.

But, yes, it is able to let you Tilt, Shift , macro etc.... but the image quality is more of an artistic effect or feel... not as sharp and nice as what I have displayed here. If you purely wants some effect, lensbaby is your choice, but be sure you try out the lens first... see if you can accept the effect or not......

either you love it , or hate it.
