Default How to guess framelines?

On some lens, the film will get more than what I see through the viewfinder. On others, the film will get less. While I can always use PP to crop away excesses to my liking, but sometimes I compose the subject at the 1/3 point and part of the subject goes out of the frame and no PP can rescue that.

Any bros care sharing some trade pointers?

i assume you are using rangefinder with manual adjustment framelines. Then when changing the lens, dont forget to adjust the framelines corresponding to lens focal length

cheers
