Default Collared Kingfisher

Sort of a 'consolation prize' as my main target refused to come onto an open branch. A picture of my main target is also enclosed (Sungei Buloh). It really is beautiful.... hope to get lucky one of these days...

nice, except for the perch. How is the migratory bird population at SBWR? Saw many migratory birds already at Ubin. Low tides are now in the afternoons so, need to plan accordingly.

The usual suspects are all scattered around the park, i haven't seen any rarities yet (but maybe thats due to my inexperience in telling them apart). I'm going there every weekend until the Black-capped finally perches on an open branch (next Sat going to be crowded with the Nikon event but i think they'll move into the park proper much later anyway...)
