Why not?? The auto mode is still useful if you need to use it like a point and shoot.

just dont use it all the time~got a fren who bought a nikon d60 and has been using auto for everything and has no idea what A S P are for ![]()

Already registered the warranty online , now wasting for SONY to reply me . Dunno they will offer me go for the course or not ?

hi to all the senior just bought my a200 today at cathay photo for S$829 . Very excited abt it... been trying to learn to shoot some photo. find out that my night photo shoot from my house balcony is quite bad. anyone can teach me to adjust to what setting for night shoot ... or isit a must to use external flash (which i nv buy) ? and how to join you guys for the outing? tks guys.

welcome to the Alpha family. For night shots, you will need a tripod or a stable support as the shutter speed is slow. Any slight movement would render blur pictures. Try the method recommended by kelvint81. ;

DR/DR+ is Dynamic Range. Usually I'll set it to normal.

if you do shoot in jpg i'll recommend the DRO+ setting. it works pretty well in difficult lighting conditions
