Hi guys, I'm going to do a night (dark pub) event shoot next week.. I was wondering which on-board light would be best recommended?

Unimat ones. Not sure if there are specific models to take note of.

David, I have a Canon VL-10 that I've used before for a pub shoot. The results can be great but you need to get just the right distance. Too close and the subjects get a bit dazzled. Too far and it's not so bright.
Overall, you would be much better getting a dimmable LED type because it will be much more flexible and not so hot. But if you want to borrow my VL-10 you are welcome. It takes the same batteries as your XH-A1. Works great on an HV30 as well although it looks a bit funny because it is as big as the camera! |
