Default Help on "mothballing" lenses, please.

The wanderlust struck again and I would be spending up to a year travelling and visiting all my relatives overseas.
As I will be almost constantly on the move, I will either bring only 1 body and a couple of lenses or get a P&S.
I have considered selling off all my present equipment but I fear I would be left with some odd lenses and end up back at square one. Anyone want to buy an entire Sony system covering 12 to 500mm "en-bloc" plus Quantum batteries and a lot of accessories?
Anyway, I am really loathed to sell as some of the lenses made by Minolta are rare being out of production and thus will be hard to find or replace. As such, I thought of "mothballing" them by putting them in "vacum" plastic bags which can have the air pumped out. Does anyone know if such at available in sizes small enough for lenses? Would sealing the lenses in vacum prevent fungi growth?
Any advice would be most appreciated.

those vacuum plastic bags should work. I mean, if its airtight, and there's no moisture, fungus shouldnt be able to grow.

as for the bags, Ive seen them at Giant Hypermart before, and it comes in different sizes. Check it out ya.
