Default Has anyone dove Bali this year?

I was wondering what photo subjects people have seen, and where..I haven't been to bali in two years, I'll be there in June.

I have about 60 dives in bali, so I've familiar with the mantas, molas at crystal bay, liberty wreck..

thanks!
Scott

Well Scott, as you can see on my other thread, Tulamben was fantastic for me in March 2009.I'll be heading back there again in July.
Enjoy yourself in Bali.

yes, I noticed, great job. So which sites, and at what depths, were the most productive for macro?

I spent my 7 days diving almost in one site just left of the drop off in front of mimpi resort.

Apart from 1 dive at Liberty and 2 dives at seraya.
20m is good, once you hit your NDL proceed up towards 12m and comb the area too.

Do long surface intervals to maximise your bottom time at that depth. Nudibranchs sizes rages from 0.5mm to 2mm.

I think there's still a couple of denise pygmies at the wreck itself at 26m. more time less deco...

The Diving at Tulamben has been fantastic recently, with vis at about 30m early morning on the wreck in very late march early April, however within the past week the vis has dramatically dropped down to around 10 and sometimes ever worse as there has been farily big surf on the shore! If Macro is where your passion is then we at Blue Season Bali offer custom made dive safaris around the whole of Bali taking you to the best dive sites with the best dive guides Bali has to offer. The Mimic octopus is an obvious attraction to dive the North sites and the fantastic Macro very close to Tulamben at Seria is a must if the Harlequin shirmp is on your list!
