Update A700 Price from Shanghai

I have a friend in Shanghai and has helped me asked around the pricing for A700. Juz wanna share with everyone for those might travel...

btw, A700 is only for the body.

Basically what he told me is that at Sony Gallery in Shanghai is selling about SGD 2k with the usual freebies. He went to Mei Luo Cheng and ask a few more shop so called Sony authorized dealer, the pricing is abt RMB 4900 to RMB 5600. So based on current conversion the cheapest is abt SGD 1.2k.

When he asked the abt the warranty some said the warranty is international and some said no... but definitely is 2 years... 1 year for the purchase and extra year is registered online...

however, my friend when to ask shanghai sony as according to them.. there is no international warranty for the camera... only in china...

so when buy be aware... however the packaging from the authorize seller are juz as good... he tested the camera with his lens and everything.. and its good..

too bad he didnt buy cos he ran out of RMB... so if anyone is traveling.. and wanna get a A700... i'm not sure whether its a good deal but probably other cser can input from their own experience...
