Default My F1 photographs

This year I attended the F1 with an official duty; as a Photographer assistant.
Assigned to the Photographers Room, the people around me were the best F1 photojournalist from all over the world. It was a fantastic experience to learn from them and viewing their works. I didn't have access to the tracks, pit lane and garages; but still have enough places to go to to cover this event. My official duty was to take the VIP's, autograph sessions and media conferences, but I'm sure you don't want to see those.

1. Jenson Button, Brawn GP.

2. Nelson Piquet, ING Renault

3. Kimi Raikonen leaving the garage

4. Ferrari pit crew at pit lane practice in the morning

5. Rubens Barrichello

Hi chenws,

Awesom photo's.

I realy dislike it when people always ask, "what camera/what lens/what were you eating etc.

But I must ask, what were you using that gave you such great results such as in photo 1,2 and 3.

Great sharpness and colour ... I am impressed

Not leaving out your tallent at taking these shots

Cheers

#3 and 4 takes it!

As someone once said, wear red and you'll have an interesting day. Interest aside, these reds wonderfully colorful! Great shots.

Thanks Pablo, that's a fair question. Personally I think it matters what camera and what lens to use if you want the best image captured. I don't mind if anyone ask. If you don't ask you don't know.

I used a Canon 1Dmk3 camera. photo 1 was shot with a 300mm with a 1.4TC. photo 2 with a 400mm. And photo 3,4,5 was taken with the EF 24-70mm. They were taken on different days, as I took a different lens to a different location; to make the best use of the lens; or rather the focal length of the lens.

Thanks, another Ferrari fan I presume.

Here are some non-car pics.

6. Approaching K1 under the rainclouds.

7. K1 Grandstand overlooking turn 1 and 2. This is the advantage of a purpose built circuit compared to a street circuit; no fences to obstruct your view, esp. for photography.

8. Ferrari fans from South Africa

9. Young time-hunters

10. F1 fans from France

Absolutely no post-processing here, friend; if you are talking about motion blur. It's auto-leveling and that's it, for the whole image. I do editorial shots and any alterations on the image is definitely no no. EXIF date intact if you wish to look into.
