Sony EX-1 firmware updates

anyone knows if Sony will charge us (supposedly some in USA) ? recently got the 32Gb SxS and w/o firmware ver 1.1+ will not read the 32Gb card.

Will doing it ourselves void the warranty ?


Called them up but they are taking ages to reply. wonder why.

Who did you buy your EX1 from? Expandore or direct from Sony? If it is direct from Sony, you should tell them you bought the 32GB but cannot use as current firmware don't support so Sony should rectify this problem. But if you bought from Expandore and w/o any warranty, then you will have to pay.

Those direct from Sony should be receiving free firmware upgrade.

We got the first sets in Singapore and the firmware upgrade was still valid, FOC.
