Default e520 Ownuser batt grip

Hi,

I just bought an ownuser batt grip from Lau Marketing 2 weeks ago. However, instead of being able to take more pictures, I would only take 100-200 pictures before the camera indicates low battery. Is this because of a faulty grip or because I'm using 3rd party batteries for the grip?

Anyone with any experience with this grip, advice would be much appreciated.

the problem i think is inherent to the batt grip itself (but not all as I've read some forums), not on the batteries. there's related thread that you may want to check:

anyways, i'm looking for a grip myself (for E520 too). can you please PM me where did you bought yours and how much? i'm guessing its ownuser e-51r?

thanks!

I thought it was the grip too when I read the other forums, but I've went back to the shop and they exchanged new batteries for me first to see if they were the problem. I'm currently using the new batteries and the grip battery seems to be fine. Will monitor it a bit longer.

Yup, its the E51R. I bought it at Lau marketing for $168.

Cheers

i just bought one too from Lau Mktg last Tue. Haven't tested it fully; hopefully mine will not drain the batt sooner than expected

btw, regarding the remote control. tech said i need to configure the pairing between E51R and remote control only once. But it seems that i need to configure it everytime i use it. Do you have the same problem too?

thanks
