Default TZ7 comparison

This comparison was taken from Dital Versus

TZ7 vs Canon SX200 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...849&ma2=1&ph=2

TZ7 VS FZ28 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...&p2=3727&ph=15

TZ7 VS TZ5 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...8&p2=3391&ph=2

TZ7 VS LX3 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...0&p2=3869&ph=7

TZ7 VS Canon G10 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...4&p2=4231&ph=7

Think TZ7 did really well except the poor lighting conditions against Lx3 and TZ5. This camera indeed will bring a big bang for the buck Does anyone know when is it coming to Singapore?

Can't wait to see Dpreview comparison

Seems TZ5 retains more detail than TZ7 in poor lighting. Wonder why.

I guess because of the increase of MP...

Think u read it from dpreview thread that i replied today?
Well...... seems we do have an all star all rounder compact here soon.
Videos and pics, size except perhaps the f2 lens and manual functions.
I even compared to the K10D that i have and i can say it bests K10D in jpg at least.
Hope this forum has more TZers in here.
It was an FZer forum then became sort of LXer.

So I guess I should buy the TZ5 rather than TZ7 because I value more detail at ISO 400 and above. I hope you all can kindly advise me whether you think that is a sound decision. Grateful for any advice you can give. Thank you.

If you are buying the TZ5, solely because of the IQ, my advise is that you are better with the TZ7. Sad to say even though my TZ15 (same as TZ5) which is a newer model than my FZ50, have poorer IQ than the latter.

According to this, TZ7 VS TZ5 http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.p...8&p2=3391&ph=2 , seems TZ5 retained more detail than TZ7 in low light. To be honest, not really sure if I am interpreting correctly. Do you agree that TZ5 retains more detail? Thanks.

Not sure at all why people are so fixated with which PnS cam retains more detail at ISOXXX. To be very frank and objective, if you print at 4R, 8R, S8R etc you won't be able to see the additional detail that you can see when pixel peeping. And if you are putting the pics you take on the web, basically you can't see any difference.

Everyone wants the best value for their money. And I feel proud having the best IQ camera in their league.

And so what if you have the camera with the best IQ? It doesn't mean that if you have the best camera in the world, you will take the best pics in the world...

Best value for money I would say will be buying 2nd hand cameras that are just discontinued or when a new replacement model has been released. The issue with PnS cameras is that any technological advancement over the previous model is only going to be marginal. And the fact remains that with newer models, more MP are being cramped into the same small sensor and this is not necessarily a good thing.

Luckily not true for Tz, Tz3 is said to btr than Tz1, Tz5 btr than Tz3 and now most likely Tz7 better than Tz5.

We gonna look at the exact setting to give a comment on this.
If u want a cam for low light, think u should get Lx3, similiarly for high iso pics.
