Hi Guys, finally uploaded my pics from the Night Macro at LP with Stevewhy. Thanks again Steve for organising and your sharp eyes also. Here are some of the takes for the night. C&C welcomed.
#1 Argiope feeding My apologies on the hot spot on the abdomen area. The web was high up and had to fully stretch both arms and use live view for this shot. This was the sharpest attempt I had with the prey in the mouth. ![]() #2 Roaches Mating ![]() #3 Old Snail ![]() #4 Pancorius Spider My FAV shot of the night. ![]() #5 Unidentified Moth This is such a beautiful moth, my only regret is that I lost the DOF on the tips of the wings as they were tilted downwards and the moth was in a awkward position to shoot. How I wished my LCD display can be tilted when using Live View like Steve's cam. ![]()

Like all the shots.
Good control of lighting. I always get 'burnt' for Argiopes and beetles. Last edited by tagorean; 5th April 2009 at 08:23 AM. |

Nice shots
Some are a bit grainy. For the hot spots, you can reduce it by adjusting the shadows/highlights in Photoshop. I had to adjust it for many of my shots like the tree hoppers. The ladybug looks pretty cool. ![]() |

Normally shoot at 1/100s, F16 and above depending on the lighting conditions. Yes, the ladybug image was cropped to fit into the frame. Thanks for your comments, glad you liked them.

I was so busy with the hopper that I forgot about shooting snow white ! Both the hopper and snow white equally active and keep moving all over the place, giving us such a hard time
