Default Twig-Like Feather-Legged Spider (Miagrammopes sp) @ BBNP

Saw my first Twig-Like Feather-Legged Spider at Bukit Batok Nature Park. Decided to start a new post since the other thread has too many pics inside...

This is my first pic. More to come later today...

It's a small bugger and I wuldn't have spotted it if it wasn't for Raymond saying that he saw a spider...

Wen I saw it for the first time, I only saw a twig swinging in the breeze and then the legs came out...

Nice find
How long is the spider? Looks quite tough to shoot.

Spider is quite long but very thin... Makes it difficult to get the whole spider in focus. Also as the spider will swing around a lot whenever there is a very slight breeze, it makes it difficult to get a good shot.

#3 Uncropped juz to let people see how long the spider actually is

Gee, ok. Looks around 5-7cm long. Must be quite difficult to find!
Can you pick them up like the stick insects? I picked up a stick insect the other night and it just totally played dead, even after I put it down. You would be totally convinced it's just a stick!

Nope you can't... Even when taking photos of the spider, it will keep moving and not keep still at all...

This is nice ! Looks like some squid or cuttlefish. Looks really small and difficult to spot. Will keep my eyes open when I visit SBG again.

i saw this spider at sungei buloh about 2 or 1 week ago,was looking in the tress and saw spider silk which led to this spider,it's really tiny, max was about 4 cm though, really thin, but the one i shot was really really still, even when i fanned it a little,it didn't move

Haven't see any at SBG though... But probably looking at the wrong places...

It is really difficult to spot. At first glance, it really looks like a very small piece of twig.

You're lucky then...This one was moving all the time...very difficult to shoot and had to wait for it to stop for a moment and then shoot as quickly as possible before it started moving again.

Quite a challenge to shoot this. Main challenge is to get the camera parallel to its body to get it sharp through out.....not easy in windy condition. so you did a not too bad job!

I think the actual size is about 2cm. If really 4-5cm, wow, must be real huge.

Yes, and to make it tougher, the spider was on a low shrub that was about 30cm from the ground so it was really difficult to even focus on it when it was still...

Not sure about the length of the spider but I think it was about 3 cm.
