Saw my first Twig-Like Feather-Legged Spider at Bukit Batok Nature Park. Decided to start a new post since the other thread has too many pics inside...
![]() This is my first pic. More to come later today... ![]() #1 ![]() |

Spider is quite long but very thin...
Makes it difficult to get the whole spider in focus. Also as the spider will swing around a lot whenever there is a very slight breeze, it makes it difficult to get a good shot. ![]() #2 ![]() #3 Uncropped juz to let people see how long the spider actually is ![]() |

Gee, ok. Looks around 5-7cm long. Must be quite difficult to find!
Can you pick them up like the stick insects? I picked up a stick insect the other night and it just totally played dead, even after I put it down. You would be totally convinced it's just a stick! |

Even when taking photos of the spider, it will keep moving and not keep still at all...![]() |

This is nice ! Looks like some squid or cuttlefish. Looks really small and difficult to spot. Will keep my eyes open when I visit SBG again.

But probably looking at the wrong places...![]() It is really difficult to spot. At first glance, it really looks like a very small piece of twig. You're lucky then...This one was moving all the time...very difficult to shoot and had to wait for it to stop for a moment and then shoot as quickly as possible before it started moving again. |

Quite a challenge to shoot this. Main challenge is to get the camera parallel to its body to get it sharp through out.....not easy in windy condition. so you did a not too bad job!
I think the actual size is about 2cm. If really 4-5cm, wow, must be real huge.

Not sure about the length of the spider but I think it was about 3 cm. ![]() |
