Default sony alpha prices are the cheapest now ...

heard that since the price hike of 10-20% ?? in N & C brands last month, sony is the few that kept its prices unchanged.

used to be most expensive, now become cheapest

Have to agree Sony RRP remains the same, but checking with some shops seems that their "street price" went up a bit compared to 1-2months ago...

I would expect the 300mm to go up cos it's really rare... as for the 70-200 rumours are that it might see a replacement... but it's also short in supply I think...

if u notice, CZ is the one increasing, i guess the optics may require better material to manufacture.

Yup. The materials are different, as are the salaries and cost of the german-imported QA tools and engineers.

Also, it there's a fixed Euro licensing cost per lens, that get affected by the exchange rate too.

Hope Sony keeps the A900 price steady...a few more pennies to go. (price reduction definitely welcomed!)
