nice informative posts!
had been recording with a MD recorder and omni binaurals. great for capturing lots of extraneous noise in non-soundproof environments.
what kinds of DAWs are you all using?

now only have my old portable MD which i did quite a lot of reasonably good stuff on. using a stereo MD microphone. I have developed a technique to record four channels of sound on MD left and right channels without the need of a mixer.

A little publicity
Here I have a little publicity to do.
A friend of mine will be staging a piano recital at Alliance Francaise on 1 Sept 2002 at 8 p.m.
Programme include works by Chopin, Albeniz, Schubert and Schumann
Special attention for ckiang: you're definitely invited to do a live recording that evening. Could exchange pointers on that.
Please contact me through private messages or email for more details.
