The photo on the left was shot at a make-shift bus stop near Changi Village (singapore) with just a Nikon flashgun

The photo on the right was shot at the rooftop of a Thai Wat (temple) in Bangkok with just a Metz flashgun

you don't need expensive studio lights to achieve the same effects
