"dripping with sarcasm" comes to mind.

Luckily there are EXIF data! The time taken is highlighted in bold red:

    Date Time Original = 2009-02-27 20:16:32

So there you go, it is a sunset.
Did you change the camera clock to local time, or is it S'pore time? depending on where is the location, 20:16:32 may not be a sunset timing in early spring (27th Feb)

Haha good point. And yes that was the local Argentine time. The 2 photos were taken at about 4500m on a mountain in Argentina.

I am so grateful that a lot of people drop a line here. Especially thanks to Ziploc, hazmee, Anson who share their wonderful photos here. Too bad I do not have any sunset / sunrise photos

My idea of starting the thread is not merely to compare sunrise / sunset, but also to appreciate the effort behind these photos.

I not yet tried to catch a sunset or sunrise, but I surely appreciate the fast changing moment before sunset.

Probably because of the moment of excitement when the dawn has finally comes?

"The moment before the dawn is always the darkness period in a whole day".... Thus, the moment of waiting for the dawn should be the moment of joy

Hmm, probably I can give myself a try...
Can you guys guess is this sunrise or sunset? Probably those good in guessing can already tell.....

Edit: Probably I should say "is it during the period of sunrise or sunset.... As it is technically no sun in the photo

*Disclaimer: this photo is just for the purpose of guessing, the photo did not properly taken due to a rather amateur user at that time...I'm not intend to ask for any c&c here...

    Yes.

Ok... one last sunset pic from this mountain to share. Don't want to turn this thread into a pic posting thread.

hmm... i think the clouds are generally a bit different between the dusk and dawn... more light and feathery at dawn? coz lower temperature at night and clouds formation is slower and dispersion is faster?

    well i could be wrong...
