I have CE models of the Pocket Wizard II Plus, Sekonic L-358 CE JC1G-200130 and Sekonic RT-32CE Module and I am unable to get them to communicate. I wonder if it's something I'm doing wrong. I've read about incompatibility between FCC and CE models but my components are all CE and in accordance to the RT-32 Instruction Manual, I've successfully installed and confirmed that the "wireless flash radio triggering mode mark" is displayed.
My PWII+ is set to Channel 2 and setting the L-358 to Channel 2 or any other channel for that matter makes no difference. They just refuse to communicate and I wonder if there's something I should check such as DIP switch settings etc ? Setting up the PW and Light meter and pairing them isn't a difficult process but they don't communicate with one another. Anyone has experience setting them up and care to share ? |

Yes it's set to BOTH and nothing happens. I've also consulted tech support in USA and after several hand-holding emails, I'm back to square one.
The only time it works if when I connect the L-358 to a PocketWizard via the sync terminal and triggering it via the Cord mode fires all the other PW II Plus that I've set up for. This of course means I have a very costly wireless trigger as opposed to one that's half it's price and less bulky. Imagine attaching a II Plus unit to the L-358. |

[quote=phoakm;4946346]It should be able to trigger under normal settings. I can trigger the PW Plus II with my Sekonic L758DR. Maybe you can drop me a PM, see if I can resolve the issue.[/QUOTE

Mine is FCC version; works like a charm.
I saw this on the page about RT module. ![]() This may sound silly, but I assume you have taken off the connector cover(22) for the interface.

It's OK now. There was really nothing wrong with any of the items. I completely didn't get the final instructions at all w.r.t. advancing to the next menu when the wireless is activated. It's quite straightforward when it makes sense but I think I just didn't understand the way the instructions are written.
http://shimworld.wordpress.com/2009/...see-the-light/ Phoakm, thanks for following this up. It was good to have someone to talk to on the phone. |

I think you should also check on the MegaHz of your equipment.
Those in US is 344Mhz, those in Europe is 443Mhz. so if it is different, it will not sync at all.... |

Can I just ask if both the 344Mhz and 443Mhz versions can be used in Singapore? I'm under the impression that one of either would experience greater interference from the surroundings. Can anyone clarify?
