Does old Nikon speedlight like SB-22 works on DSLR like d90? Any body has experience with using old speedlight with new DSLR like D90?

I was given this speedlight from a friend which works on the good old F80.

previously i used my old SB-24 with my ex D70
works fine on Auto mode

but eventually i sold it away and bought a SB-800

Will not work in TTL mode. Shots come out over-exposed or under. Don't bother.

only non-TTL automatic mode and Manual mode available.

Yes can be used but no TTL mode.

Thanks, you guys are helpful! I would give a try and at the same time researching for a better speedlight.
