Where to buy 50D?

hello guys, my brother in law wanted to buy a DSLR 50D and i am wondering if possible that where i can buy in simlims the descent store? I've been victim for their price before. coz i bought last September the sigma lens 18-200 dc is. and i pay S$1,245. but when i notice that sigma lens cost only 700+. so right now were going to buy 50D that i know that someone here can tell me where we gonna buy this dslr. thank you

if you're going simlim, Alan photo on the 1st floor is quite reputable.

If u want to buy from simlim, get it from orient photo on one of the top levels. They have one of the lowest price.

Those two recommended by bros here are the only ones you should visit. Don't even try to ask the price from the other shops, they will find a way to mislead you and you will end up paying more.

Why not try the City Hall area where you have Cathay Photo, John 3:16 and Alan Photo at Funan? They might not be the cheapest in town but at least you won't get con in paying double the market price...

yeah i forgot about orient photo! its a more "homely" environment, with less sales staff so it seems a bit less 'intimidating' to venture into.. there are a lot of nice things on display too, and staff there will usually let u try out before u decide to buy.

Just go to CP, MSC, John etc. to save you the trouble.

everyone thank you very much. we went to funan and bought a new 50D but i ended up in Song brothers and they are the only store that gave me a cheap price. in alan they offer me a 1899 with a standard kit. and that is there fix price and also john 3:16 gave me 1880 fix. but in Song Brother gave me $1840 incl the GST with free 8GB gb memory card this is platinum II, bag,LCD protector. and a discount for another batt for only $90. what do you think guys if i get a cheap or just so so.. thanks guys appreciate your help that i must aware the sim lim.

I hope the battery that you bought is original CANON BP-511A because you could get a thirst party Phottix BP-511A at $14.

Or you could be referring to Battery Grip at $99, purchase with purchase promo...

What? OMG they told me that canon doesn't build a battery, canon ask the 3rd party to build for them and also he told me that there are no such thing 3rd party? they know how they can fool people especially a tourist like me

yes they give me instead the 2 4GB they give 8GB of Lexar Platinum II , Bag and UV filter.
and they ask me if i am gonna buy a battery grip for $250. but i did not bought it i am happy maybe that also a high pirce
