Hi all,
I just bought Nikon D90 from IT Show, am a newbie. Bought Digital King Converter Len 0.5 wide angle from SLS. Now then i noticed that four corners on the photos tend to be black in colour. Should it be like that? I also bought a digi box (dry box), is it normal that the meter reading maintain at 60? Thanks. Is there recommended website that i can learn more about photography? |

the dark corners in your picture is called vignetting
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vignetting it sometimes happen because of the lens, or if you're using 2 filters at the same time ![]() some use it as an effect. |

In future if u need a wider focal length, u can save up for a wide angle zoom which will
produce better IQ than a wide angle adapter. Ryan |

1) Try this - set the focal lenght to 50 mm and shoot again. You should not see the "black corners" any more. Please let me know if this is true. 2) Recommended setting for photographic equipment is between 40 to 55 %RH. 3) There were quite a few links given by the bros / sis / pros here. Think you can find it in the sticky Last edited by romeo tango; 27th March 2009 at 02:14 PM. |

2. the usual best humidity setting for the dry cabinet should be anything from 40 to 55.

Great that the dark corner disappered !! Usually, specially effect filters (not those colour type) and this type of "attachment" (the one you using) are meant for standard lens, ie 50mm lens. So if you use it on zoom lens (less than 50mm), you will have the dark corners. As for the dry box, check the recommended setting. Change the silicon gel when it turns pink. Add more if required ![]() |
