Default IR Photography - Nikon Coolpix 950

I had just tried out IR photography using my humble old Nikon Coolpix 950 which has been sitting around gathering mould for years. To my surprise, I found that the CP 950 is very sensitive to IR and would allow me to actually handhold all my shots unlike the 10D which needed about 20s of exposure time (and a tripod of course) for IR photography. The image would also appear on the LCD screen of the CP 950 allowing me to preview and compose properly before snapping the shutter unlike the 10D where the view finder image is so dark that it is unviewable.

The only price I have to pay is that the colours of the images are more monotonous in nature. But at least I could now get relatively sharp images of foliage instead of blurry ones with the 10D due to the long exposure times.

Anyway, for those who are interested in IR photography, here are some of the pics from the CP 950:

My CP 950 has just found a new lease of life !
