Default The fast and furious ... (UIM F1 Powerboat race, Sat edition, Vol 1)

Spent an entire afternoon at the UIM F1 Powerboat race pitside today. It was a simply exhilarating experience with more to boot even after the whole thing was over.

I present thee, Volume 1 of the Saturday edition, the Fast and the Furious F1 Powerboats!

Default Finally, there is motion in the picture

There are a few postings of the photos taken at today's UIM Powerboat race but none is as interesting as these. Kudos avatar.....nice panning there......

great shoots, really can feel the speed in these pics.
At what shutter speed and ISO you took these pics? You did panning for these shots? The subjects look sharp for most of it!

hmm...the cafe latte was really nice...plus the pumkin cheese cake...

Thank you all for thy kind comments. I am glad you are able to translate my work with what I felt earlier.

More to come in my Sunday coverage! Won't wanna miss it for the world!

Cursor: Yes, all except one of the above shots are panned, some handheld, some with a monopod. I was using ISO200 to 400 (varied according to weather condition) and with shutter speeds ranging from 1/50 to 1/80, this time, depending on the speed of the subject.
