Pretty clear. This is 960 by 540 format?

I thought the formats of the recording should be in either of the following formats:

• 1920 x 1080 (1080P, 16:9) @ 20 fps
• 1280 x 720 (720P, 16:9) @ 30 fps
• 640 x 480 (4:3) @ 30 fps
• Quicktime MOV format (H.264 video,linear PCM audio)
• Up to 29 min 59 sec (or max file size 4 GB)

time to upgrade then...

Yes, canon video quality is actually quite good.

My Ixus870IS video quality cannot be matched by other PNS that I have tested from Lumix, Sony and Fuji...which is why i am still holding on to it.

So, it's time to sell away everything (Dslr and pns) and get the 500D!!!

saw the feature of Canon EOS 500D, very impressive...why wanna buy 50D now? All should go for EOS 500D instead with all the new digi, impressive video function etc.

Photographers who want the better speed, built, AF (to a limited extent) and shooting speed, not everyday consumers who would want video

5DM2 video has rolling shutter issue (so thus D90). Any info on 500D regarding this issue?
