Counting makes the time pass slower.

After the place will be flooded with tourists, making photo-taking very difficult. Also, in June, it is summer time, so expect number of tourists to be a lot more and they will show up earlier. I went there at around 9:35am in winter time. Sure it is cold and a little foggy, but there are almost no tourists when I get there. For the adventurous, I suggest staying there overnight and take pictures at dusk/dawn, when the place is almost beautiful.

Good luck an enjoy your photo trip! Too bad I cannot join this package as I live in Shanghai currently. Let me know if you want more ideas on where to take pictures in Shanghai apart from the Bund and ZZ.
ha! another shanghai-based fellow! me too! and yes... good advice for the zhouzhuang shooting, either early morning or really late at night. i have seen others' shots of zhouzhuang b4 dawn and early mornin, those are also very nice.

for portrait taking, there are quite a few outdoor places in shanghai which are popular:
    (1) DaNing Park is popular for the greenery, and now popular outdoor shooting for most activities in Shanghai
    (2) i heard there is a place called 1933, with old rundown buildings,
    (3) and one i recently took is a place along WeiHai Road, an old factory but inside got a lot of studio offices and designer offices. the rooftop is open for shooting too.
    (4) Xintiandi is another place mixing east and west, but too many people shooting the management there will stop you and treating it as commercial activity.
    (5) Tianzifang all small alleys with old Shanghai buildings, there are still people living inside there but most have been converted in to gallaries and restaurants, very nice place to shoot, quite a few photographer shops there too with their photos on sale.

i am sure daredevil123 should have more to say as I have only gone into photo-taking for 3 months.
