Some pics from this morning's race. Saw a guy with a 'strange monopod' too. I used VR instead of monopod.

2. Fast and towed

3. The race is on

4. Yellow is in

5. Drink Driving

6. No 27 Up close

Question

Is the race starting as usual where every boats align? Because your pictures 'the race is on', I saw as every boat is going in different direction.

And what focal length did you usefor the shots?

No, pics were taken during morning, before the race started, I think there isnt enough space for all the boats to start from one point. Most of the shots were taken between 200mm to 300mm using my trusty 80-400 VR lens. Only used 400mm to take closeups of boats otherwise, need to zoom out to take whole boat.

Default hha ha ha.....

the strange monopod indeed......should i say "L" pod......

BTW i was comparing some handheld shots with the anti-shake on....with the anti-shake off with the L pod....and the antishake really work great!!!....

me
