can ask a stupid question?... what is the market price for a used sony A300K and A300X? i wish to own a secondhand A300, but i don't know how much to re-offer as the price asking is a bit on high side...

Ok, normally how much for a second-hand A300 if compared with new set? say 20 or 30% lower then new set price something like that?..

It would depend on a few factors.

1) how old is the set?
2) warranty available?
3) condition of the cam?
4) what does the package includes?
5) how low the seller wants to go?

You may want to take a look at the price in the Personal Classified section and get a quote from the shops to compare before deciding which to get.

Check the prices here in the marketplace / personal classified and compare. Really, it's not hard.

Yeap, can do your own market research really... not all of us have a300/a350s to sell... and everyone has their own camera body age / factors, so it's really hard... but if you check the market place and see what other people are selling their cam bodies for, you maybe able to work out a compromise... like if you post too expensive, you'd probably get responses to your offer and such.

2) A few months old secondhand set cost around S$7XX
Free item? is up to d owner, some may don't even give extra battery or CF card.

for that price, i think most of people will go get a new set, right? cheaper $1XX is not that big saving(less then 20% of new set price)...

p/s: lordscom and Alan Photo don't deal with sony products, ms color no reply...

any bro know any shop can offer better price then Cathay Photo?

this may not help with the S'pore market but i bought my a300K for $499 CDN in October and sold it for $550 CDN in March.
so it really depends on whether the buyer shops around first, how desperate they are and how anxious you are to sell.
i listed mine on a local classifieds site. it was listed for less than 24 hours. i felt bad that the buyer did not haggle on the price.
brand new a300k kit is on sale here this week for $499 CDN.

then i bought an a700 body only for $949 CDN price matched down from $1,149 CDN.
