Hi everyone, newbie with A350 + kit lens.
Can anyone please recommend a Flash preferable around the region of $200. Mostly for use when taking baby photos at home. |

I think, taking baby pictures at home, why not use the internal flash? I mean, unless you use it for event photography.

Actually a built in flash with a DIY diffuser will be more than sufficient for this purpose...
I'm assuming you're going to be pretty close to the baby...![]() |

For $200, i'd go with a 2nd hand 3600. Bounce flash in-door is better than anything built-in + diffuser can be. Plus you won't want to damage your baby eyes with the very bright flash, even with diffuser.

If possible, not to use flash at all. Just use high ISO or a fast lens like 50mm f/1.7 lens for S$ 230/-.

somewhere inside someone is selling a used sigma EF530 for 250 if i remember.
it is good to get one.. i used mine to take pics of my friend's 3 months old baby. swivel the flash so tat it flash behind u, the baby's eyes wont close much or at all. n u can capture split moments as u can set a higher shutter speed. 1/100 works well wit the flash. cheers |
