Default Help on Night photography for luminous dragon dance

Hi Everyone,

I'm a Newbie here. Need help in doing night photography for luminous dragon performances. I can't use flash cos its prohibited to use it so wat kinda lens can i use? Is it compatible with the markets brands camera? Some more i do have a budget in getting this equip cos i'm not a pro in photography yet...

no flash then set to longer shutter and make sure u have a tripod!

Having a flash would freeze the dragon in motion, that is not too good for a lively 生猛 dragon.

If you have let the shutter goes longer, as suggested, it would streak as it moves. And you get motion effect on final shot. Try variants of apperture, shutter speed, and your position to get the best effect.

Some lightly lit background would prevent the background from overexposed if you use 'B'ulb setting or long exposure.

Oh yah blur like sotong!!! forgot the dragon would be moving hahahah
