Anybody has this lens, can share with me the construction?
i bought 1 recently, but notice that when the lens collasped, there is a small gap between the outer lens barrel and the focusing. Is this correct? I can also choose to return for a refund, but within 7days. pls call me if you can... 92321816. Thanks! |

I used to have this lens (LTM right?) but not anymore. Only left with an M-mount version. If I remember correctly, they should look the same:
![]() don't remember there is a gap in between leh. I think the best way to test is to mount it on a digital M camera (M8 or R-D1) and see if the pix are OK or not. YOL Last edited by YOL925; 22nd March 2009 at 10:10 PM. |

If I recall correctly, there one in the glass window at Peninsular now. Perhaps you can check it out when you have the time.

my m-mount elmar looks different from YOL's one. It only has focusing scale in feet so outer barrel which has the focusing range is smaller.
YOL's dual scale one has bigger outer lens barrel so one part of the focusing barrel can go inside. That's why it looks *more collapsible*. mine is similar to this: or this I don't have digital camera to take photo of my lens.

Not on G1, as it cannot detect any problem with RF coupling/focusing that these old lenses might have. (quite common BTW)
