Are you shooting through a glass pot lid or something? There's weird glare in the first one. Both photos are nice and sharp, and I like the contrasting colors. On the negative side, there's no meaning. I can't tell if you're trying to show a difference between 2 food groups? Or that veggies + meat go well together?

I shot using external flash.
It's cliche that I'm going for as in how restaurants always have steak and brocolli as a set no matter what.. I guess thats what hit me into doing this picture. |
