    got read ur manual mah? it shld tell u how to do it lor..

    u just want the background to be blurred for the sake of blurring it or blurring it 4 a purpose leh?

    Did you read any of the articles in the google search?? Are you using your longest telefocal reach?

    i took a small toy object just 10cm away from my len while the background is kind of far.setting the lowest F number,without zooming in at all.but it doesnt work out well.do i need to zoom in or someting?marco mode?

    That's your problem. If you read ANY of the articles a simple search would have given you, you'd have your answer.

    And setting to "Macro" mode can help in your case. Marco Polo can't.

    So you mean it is a must to zoom in even if the object is just 5cm away from the lens?
    thanks again!i searched afew sites,some aasking for zoom in while other never mention about zooming in.

    This is something you can test and see for yourself on your camera in about 10 secs.

    Or just shoot everything in focus. Then use you imagination concentrate on the subject everything else not in your attention will be blurred
