Default Street Photography-Photographing the street photographer?

More or less i am guessing that everyone in one occassion or another has been snapped by street photographer. Chances are these said photographers would then use the photos either for exhibition and possible sales.

now imagine this scenario...after being snapped by the photographer, you take out your own camera and then snap the photographer back plus a few more shots of the photographer street actions.

just to ask, has anyone ever done the scenario above?

can the person being shot sue or damages? can u sell the photo without releases (assuming of course ur selling to some anal-retentive companies)?

You only can sell the photo without releases if the subjects faces isn't clear I think.

Thats only for Stock pictures i think...

but even for stock fotos, photos with a person in it, altho face is not shown or not visible, still need a release...or am i mistaken in this?

difficult to shoot the other street photographer. bcos he would be hidden from view!

Rangefinder shooter at least can show half his face.

Yeah, ended up with a photo of someone taking a photo of someone taking a photo of someone.
