Personally I don't feel they are good.

Lighting for one think doesn't works for me. Instead of
a soothing water, I feel the temperature of lighting too harsh.

I kinda feel red in most DSLR are often saturated, so some
lighting has to be used to compensate on that. In these pictures,
the RED has little graduations. Gives a rather flat colour

The background is too complicated. If today your subject is
the fruit, then just plain white background will serve to
make the subject pop out more.

I suggest a better arrangement of the fruits. Really doesn't
need one whole plate, but if one whole plate is the concept,
then arrange them in more 3D manner.

The lighting having such harsh shadows doesn't work right here.

These pictures was shoot without flash, the light source was from the normal electric save light pulp. Thus, I couldn't really control it or adjust it except move the melons away further.

1. Moving the melons farther from your light will make shadows harsher. Try pointing your light to a white wall and move the subject near the wall. Another is to use a white card on the other side to reduce shadows.

2. As mentioned above, plain table cloth is better.

3. Arrangement is actually ok, but angle of shot could be better. A much better arrangement is to prop up the melons. Make the stand up and shoot in such a way that you get DOF.
