Checking For...New DSLR

Hi, just gotten my first DSLR from Ms Photo, the Canon 50D with 17-85mm lens.
I just wanted to ask what is there to check for(lens &body) because i still can exchange 1 for 1 within 7 days(i suppose).
Thanks for your advice.

Check Liveview, autofocus, LCD screen, flash, dial buttons (in fact every button), battery, CF slot.

check all lcd display in order. test all buttons. check chassis is gapless, no cracks too. for lens, test the IS function. test af. test focus ring, focal length ring.

next u can ignore everything above, all covers in warranty if its genuinely factory fault.

most important to test is to go out shoot and shoot..
