My FinePix 2800Z does not provide as bright an image as I would like when configured through my USB port as a WebCam. That is, much less expensive devices provide very acceptable brightness, while my 2800Z is quite dim. Please advise of what I can do.

not sure if it works, but you can try placing a table lamp near the cam to brighten up the area where your cam is situated.

good idea. i put a photographers' studio light source in front of me, with a 100 watt halogen flood lamp, and it made a big improvement. It's a bit hard on my eyes, but the image is acceptable. Yet there is one issue that i'd like to resolve. The color balance is still off. The camera is still balancing "normaly", so I'm getting a strong red/yellow image. What should I do to get a more natural color balance?
Thanks for your help. |

Moving your post the the Fuji subforum, you should be able to get more model specific replies from members there.
