Default Best location Singapore F1 GP 2009

Saw some shots here of the first ever night race last year. Can someone who had attended the race last year shed some light where are the good spots for taking shots without fencing? Want to go and test my camera on its high ISO capability with a long zoom lens setup. Thank you in advance.

I was at Marina Mandarin, views unobstructed from the hotel balcony. TV set in room blasting the live action also. BUT the room rate will not be cheap.

save your wallet..there're lots of other events/places to test your setup..perhaps you could just go onto one of the bridges over the CTE/PIE at night and you'll get the same effect (fast cars and night scene)

I just want to try my skills on an F1 car, not the normal Evo or Subbies and R's. For the hotels, what kind of long lens are you looking at? Any photos to share?

to get decent reach, you'll need at least a 400mm 2.8 lens and you'll still need to crop
