What a BIG discount on Hoya Step Up Ring?!

Just want to share with everybody my encounter. Today I went to SLS to look for a branded step-up ring 72mm to 77mm. First I went to AP but they dont have stock. Then I went to Song Brothers located on the 2nd floor. I approached a salesman who was busy chatting with his colleagues and just told me they dont have step-up rings. When I was about to walk out of the shop he called me back and asked for the size I want. He then open a drawer which contains many step-up rings and took out a Hoya 72mm to 77mm step-up ring and explained to me how good quality this ring is. Following is our conversation:

tsansiang: How much is this?
salesman: This one is 35 dollars.
tsansiang: Is that your best price?
salesman: Ok I will sell you best price at 28 dollars.
tsansiang: Thank you (I was about to walk out of the shop)
salesman: Wait... how much are you willing to pay?
tsansiang: I am looking at no more than 20 dollars.
salesman: Ok I will sell you at 19 dollars.
tsansiang: Ok! (I bought this step-up ring)

I am not sure if $19 is a good price as I only managed to research non-branded rings for around $7. Anyway I have already bought it. But considering the "46% discount" he has given, obviously this salesman is very unethical... or perhaps it is just the common practise in this shop... or even in most of these notorious SLS shops??!!

didn't you see the front page of the home section a couple of days back?

and song brother's is one of the shops know to koh-tok.

oh i must have missed that post; was also not in town a week ago.
is there a sticky blacklist of all those notorious shop names for easy reference?
btw any idea what is the reasonable price for such branded step-up ring? my friend is keen to get one too.

Branded should be around $10 bucks. Can try Ruby foto, if they don't have they order for you.....
