    Default Cam Servicing

    Hi all,
I have been shooting with my 20D for almost 3 year. It had never fail me during my assignments but I intend to sent it for servicing soon.

There isn't anything wrong with my cam so what should i tell the CSC staff? Can i just quote "general servicing" to CSC?

    Regards,
    Raven

    Hahah...

I think maybe like in the NS where we keep cleaning our M16 so that it won't fail us...

    That's right...
But the thing is what should i tell CSC? For a car, they check yor engine, change your engine oil etc... I can't possibly ask them to change any of my parts since they are still working fine right?

Is there such things as general servicing in CSC?

Usually I send my Nikon cameras once or twice a year during off peak season, just tell them to do general servicing, they will check any wear and tear, alignment, or any parts near to end of the life, and recommend me to replace it, it will be better than my cameras fail me during an assignment and cost even more if I need to rent another camera for back up or replacement.

I'm sure Canon Service Center will have such service too.
