Casting call for student short film

CASTING CALL:
We are Film students from the Puttnam School Of Film and we are auditioning for actors & actresses to act for us in a short film, titled ‘Ayu’, which we will be shooting in our studio right here in LASALLE.

The story is set in 1964, Singapore, during the racial riots between the Chinese and Malays. It is about a Malay girl who falls in love with a Chinese boy, which she brings home to her traditional Malay family in hope of them accepting him and the both of them being together despite the vast difference in their racial backgrounds.
The Roles are as follows: -

Ayu : (Lead Role)
- FEMALE
- 17-20 Year old
- Malay, pleasant looking

Ah Hup : (Lead Role)
- MALE
-18-20 year old
-Chinese or Malay that has very fair skin
-Able to read & speak Malay (if he is chinese)

Shafie : (Ayu’s Brother)
-Malay Male
-19-23 year old

Sahak : (Ayu’s Father)
-Malay Male
-40-45 year old

Epon : (Ayu’s Mother)
-Female Malay
-40-45 year old

REHEARSAL DATES ARE ON 25,26
SHOOTING DATES ARE ON 27,28

We would greatly appreciate it if you or anyone you think fits the role of the following characters to come try out for the Auditions.

Auditions will be held within 2 days to accommodate for conveniences.
