No very much

AFAIK, they are selling around S$4K+, certainly not a cheap way to get into the RF world. (then again, since when Leica is cheap?)

TCW might bring in // product, at few hundreds less. Not worth it IMO.

i would get it from cathay rather than TCW if i were u.
have u consider getting a used M6 instead ?
would be a better deal to get into Leica world IMO.
u could get a very good condition M6 classic with a 35mm summicron for the price of a new M7.

You don't need a Leica to join the RF gang! Unless you have lotsa money of course...

Why not consider a cheap RF like Yashica GSN or a not-so-cheap but still relatively affordable Bessa.

I have seen M6TTLs in mint conditions going for $2.5 k. The premium for M7's AE is a little high when compared to the M6. Then again if you have the money, why not go for the best. : )

i buy my m6ttl from hong kong, is cheaper with air ticket. but then i buy my mp in singapore from cathay.
mp is the one i like best, but if u r not familiar with RF and manual cam i suggest u borrow one to try first.

an other suggest is to buy the bessar r2 and buy leica 35mm cron to try out first.

do not buy 2nd hand m6, too expensive in singapore.
if u want 2nd hand buy from hong kong, 1st hand from singapore.

after looking at the pic make from leica, i seldom use the hassy. because i think is about the same (beside the film size) and yet leica is smaller and lighter.

good luck

I used a M7 for a few weeks as a second body a few months back. One day the shutter just refused to fire, except for the 2 shutter speeds that will work without batteries. It was not a problem with the battery as i tried using a new battery. Funny thing is it worked the following day. Lost all confidence in it and returned it and just stuck to M6s. This is my experience and i was probably unlucky but i'm not going to take the risk again. If i was in your shoes right now, i'd probably get the MP from simon or look for a second hand M6.

i agree that m6 and mp ca be trusted for any condition,
i use the m6ttl in the desert with lot of fine sand flying around and it will perfectly. and use in -10 in china also work perfectly.
so go for a mp.
now i use mp too.
my dream is to travel the world with my mp.
