    Default lens for nightshot.

    Hey guys,

I'm interested in nightshots and understand that aperture plays quite a big part in it. what is the ideal lens for nightshots? like the spec that i've to look out for and etc? thanks in advance!

maybe you need to be more clear on what type of night shots you're more interested in?

a f2.8 will be good for GP

There is no "ideal lens" for nightshots, as everyone has different needs.

If you're talking about the basic nighttime cityscapes that we see a lot, your kit lens and a tripod is all you need.

go to science ctr when they open their telescope to the public. compact camera is OK (easier to use). Moon is actually very bright.

Depends.. prime lense say 30mm to 50mm with strong flash, strong leg to run and a friend stand by with motorbike to make a quick exit also can.
If the pants is down, it is hard to run (give chase).
