Default Capture NX2 Color problem in MAC?

Can someone tell me what is wrong with Capture NX2? NX2 color is too rich where else Safari and Firefox is producing the colors correctly. I'm using Alumi MacBook. Please help.

Are you looking at the same image from the same display?

You have lost me. Puzzling indeed. I don't have this problem with my iMac display. I have compared my pics between NX2 and Safari (on flickr) and don't have this problem. BTW, is your display calibrated?

maybe it's the color space of your photos?
Is it AdobeRGB or sRGB?

Colorspace in a photo makes a difference after you uploaded it to the web. If I am not wrong the internet reads sRGB correctly.

My color space on my cam setting is sRGB. I think I have rectified the problem on my MAC. The default colorspace on MAC is Color LCD, I set it to sRGB, color is correct now but the LCD looks kinda blue tinted.

aaaahh ... .. ok .. maybe do some color correct for your screen. It should look great .
If I am not wrong even colors on the Mac needs to be calibrated .. just like any other PC monitor ....

I am planning to get a iMac or Macbook myself. Which do you suggest? I have a very good external monitor Samsung 245T, so am wondering should I get another 24" ... looks sill to have 2 24" sitting in my room ... on the other hand the macbook specs isn't as good as the imac 24". one is 2448 and the other is 2588.

Check the color space setting on your NX2 as well. Are you using the same color space and did you check the "use this profile"?

Absolutely, the iMac display needs to be calibrated as well. Do a hardware calibration. I have learnt my lesson the hard way. Check out this thread: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=429839

If you have a good monitor, I will suggest NOT to go for the iMac. My 24" was too bright for comfort as some will say, very difficult to calibrate. Why not consider the new Mac Mini - up to 4GB RAM and others? When I got my iMac 24", the then Mac Mini was only expandable up to 2GB.
