Default Need Help! Repair S1 Pro

Hi Friends!

My S1 Pro went bonkers.
Was told by service centre it would cost $400 to repair/replace CPU.
Or ,maybe $800 to repair main body!!

This is too costly and pocket burning!!
Anyone, know where to get such servicing/repair at better price??
Thx

That's really unfortunate. The repair costs IMO is just too high - can almost buy a prosumer Canon G5 liao. I suppose Fujifilm is the only place you can send the camera to, since they have the original parts. I do not know of any alternative repair shops, but if you seriously want to repair it, I would advise that you send it back to Fujifilm.

I learned that the fault is in the body!
I may try any repair centre with capability to repair Nikon.

Thx for concern

hate to be a wet blanket, but if it's CPU fault, Fuji would be the only folks who should be able to repair it with any kind of expertise. you can try other shops, but be careful, as they might use recycled parts to replace your camera.

actually, what exactly is the problem? did they give you a specific description of the repairs involved?

Thx, Larry!
Fuji has indicated that fault lies in the camera body...thats all...
