I have finished my first fully charged battery. Shooting + Viewing. I managed to take about 80shots only. Don't think there is any bigger capacity battery? Look like the 2 batteries I got from IT Show is still not enough, if I go tour.

I managed to take some videos, about 150+ shots with 30% flash and viewing on LCD, still got 2 bars battery left.

I think you need to cycle the battery a few times to discover the full capacity of the camera's battery, since you just bought the camera.
The battery life after approx. 10 cycles should be the highest you can go. |

I tweaked the settings a bit and the battery lasted me 162 shots (original Fujifim NP-50) without using flash. Not bad for a first charging cycle.

I saw on Ebay Singapore today a vendor selling two NP-50 batteries for $11.95 with free shipping. Any one had experience getting batteries from ebay before? Is such a vendor reliable?

It also went dead after i hit 160 shots (30% flash), 4 videos each lasting 20s and numerous menu playing... However, it was quite fast that it became red/one-bar just after it turns 2-bar... A way to save juice is to use battery saving mode instead of fast AF mode...and tune the LCD brightness down a little...

The best I got from the NP50 on my F100fd was abt 180 shots, no flash.
With 30% flash drop to about 130. Once it drops to a non-full bar, it will deplete itself in no time. |

Do keep in mind that Fujifilm will not cover their warranty on any damage done to your camera from using 3rd party battery. |

My second batteries also fully charged. Just finished up using. Is 75 pictures, no video taken and lesses viewing.
Is there any reason? can it be the "LCD brightness" your set to very low or "power saving" setting or other what setting? Care to share what setting your have to save more power? Thank Next problem is when I set to EXR mode. It also set at F3.3 is it normal? Can I set to other Aperture? |

Finally, I found out something.
![]() The battery I got from IT Show is, 1x Orginal -3.6V1000mAh and 1x spare battery - 3.7V 900mAh. That is to say they cannot last long. I Just got a 3.7V 3500mAh from Funan -Song Brother at S$35. Can last 3 time more. So Fujifilm is packaging a very low capacity battery. As for a extra high capacity if you are getting one recently ask for a high one. ![]() |

the battery that i got was a original 1000mAh and additional 3.7V 2100mAh. I was told and confirmed by the harvey norman staff that the original battery has got no warranty.

mmm...as I said earlier, buy from MSC and they give a 3.7V 2500mAH battery. As with all OEM batt packs, they are over-rated, hence actual capacity should be lower. I don't do endurance tests as do not take lots of photos at one go, so can't test how long they can last.

Yes, setting the LCD brightness lower will definitely helps.
Yes, set it to 'power saving' helps. Another way is to turn off the anti-shake function. No. EXR is a "no-brainer' feature (by the way, you are NOT supposed to think about shutter speed and aperture when you use EXR mode). You can adjust the exposure compensation but not the aperture.
