    2nd photo is not appealing. It is a snapshot to me.

    1) can't identify some of the dishes - no details. too many dishes in one shot.
    2) some dishes looked charred.
    3) white fish eyeballs is popping out. the tails are gone.
    4) inconsistent design and sizes of the plates used.

    But 1st photo looks good to me.

    I actually kinda like the first photo. It would be a winner if the tomato wasn't horribly disfigured and the skin crinkled and split, the cavenous holes in the rice is filled, and the many grains that look broken are replaced, and if the lighting wasn't so flat.

    the tomato was baked, thats y its sort of wrinkled. i agree u have a good point regarding the rice and lighting.

    2nd pic is nice. 1st pic not so good to me cos the blurred tomato in the background is distracting.
