To those using Elinchrom's monolights, are you guys using Elinchrom's umbrellas only? They have a stupid hole that will fit only their 7mm-diameter rod umbrellas and doesn't help that they're all much more expensive.
I have 2 shoot-throughs and 1 reflect of Elinchrom brand but intend to buy more. Does anyone here know of any brands that will fit or do you know of how to overcome this? DIY perhaps? Anyhelp would be very much appreciated. Thank you. |

the problem is all the Elinchrom has a umbrellas slot which is perfectly fit original Elinchrom umbrellas tube, and it is smaller than most umbrellas.
the older generation Elinchrom lights have a umbrella brackets, which can use it attach umbrella with larger tube. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...nchrom1000.jpg maybe TS can try order the brackets as replacement parts, attach it to your newer generation Elinchrom light for using third party umbrellas. hope this help. |
